THREE STUDIES OF FLESH | Melanie Lomoff
A new work conceived and created by dancer/choreographer, Melanie Lomoff in close collaboration with sound artist Josh Anio Grigg.
A study, an exchange of movement between a written choreography and an interactive research with live sound. The starting point, the shapes inherent in Francis Bacons triptych paintings and interpretation of human figures reflected within his work. Melanie performs in pointe shoes, creating a tension between form, exploring distortion and imbalance. The work was supported by Free to Fall (Artists Development Programme) offering a bespoke ladder of development to create work.
Produced by SmikleProject.
