Lee is an experienced dance teacher who has been teaching and leading creative dance work for over 17 years. During this time he has taught for many organisations both in the UK and internationally.
His work connects with a wide range and generation of people, including work with children, young people, adult community groups, within universities, conservatoire and professionals.
Lee's main focus and passion though, is teaching, mentoring and working with aspiring and talented young dancers in training and young people.
He does this through his company Shoreditch Youth Dance Company (SYD) , which he founded in 2010, and through other various freelance commissions including as a guest teacher at conservatoires like the Rambert School, as a dance leader for Re:Bourne and as the creative & curriculum lead teacher at Trinity Laban Centre for Advanced Training (CAT).
He delivers both contemporary technique classes and creative workshops on a regular bases and happily moves between and combines the two disciplines. He delivers a dynamic and energetic class and approaches all his classes with the same professional ethos and energy whilst being open and empathetic to the level of each group.
Creatively he enjoys encouraging personal exploration and challenging individual movement choices through both play and devised tasks.
